Loveland's dining scene welcomes a new face to an old location. Where you used to stop in for burritos and such, now you'll find a 50's diner.

K's Diner & Dogs will open on Sunday, February 7, 2021, in Santiago's former location off of Boise and Eisenhower, east of Planet Fitness, at 1477 E. Eisenhower.

Santiago's opened a new stand-alone location right next door earlier in 2021.

K's will have old-fashioned comfort food; from burgers, dogs, BBQ pork, sandwiches, meatloaf, shakes, and more in a fun 50's-style setting.

The man behind K's served in the U.S. Air Force and studied at Johnson & Wales Culinary School.

To celebrate their opening, and to celebrate Frontline Workers, K's will be giving away free meals between 9 a.m. and 5 pm. on February 7, with donations going to the McKee Medical Foundation.

This will be a great place to go for lunch and dinner in Loveland. There really isn't a place like it in town. I picture an almost 'one-man-show' where the owner is the chef, walking around greeting customers with a towel over his shoulder.

It's a plus that it's operated by a former Airman as well.

Who knows? K's could be the next restaurant from Nothern Colorado to be on 'Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.'
