After a week or so of downright spring-like weather, we're getting back to reality in Northern Colorado for weather on Wednesday with a new cold front and winter storm set to roll through.

While this one isn't expected to bring nearly as cold of temperatures as the last one did a couple of weeks ago, it's expected to cool things off quite a bit and bring some snow to us along the Front Range and much more needed powder to the mountains.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder
Here are some things to keep in mind for the arrival of this week's storm:
  1. Once we get through our "spring tease" on Monday and Tuesday, the front arrives Tuesday evening starting as rain and as the temps drop, the snow will fall.
  2. Snow will arrive in the mountains very early Wednesday morning and should arrive along the Front Range later in the morning/early afternoon. We should see anywhere between 2-4 inches with a little more possible in the foothills.
  3. Temps will be hovering around the freezing mark so it won't get nearly as cold as the last storm we had barreling through here.
  4. It looks to be a fast-moving storm that could affect the Wednesday afternoon commute but as Wednesday night approaches, most of the snow will be done.
  5. Temps will drop into the teens Wednesday night with highs in the 30's and back to the sunshine on Thursday.
