Sports aren't huge on our station, but they are often the subject of dinner table and water cooler conversation.

Especially with all the charismatic and transcendent athletes that are now littering most of our big sports, you don't have to be a sportshead to be interested in some of these people.

Peyton Manning is the type of player that attracts the attention of the world, not just football fans. Russell Wilson, much to the chagrin of local fans, can do that, too.

In these finals, you have some big names. Lebron James is one of the most recognized athletes in the world.

Steph Curry, the star of the Golden State Warriors, the team Lebron's Cleveland Cavaliers are facing in the NBA Championship, is the most popular athlete among his age group--millenials. Not just the most popular basketball player, the most popular athlete. This is according to 120 Sports and a recent survey they did.

Big names are in the big game this year. So, if you run up against the NBA Finals, or you know a person at the office that is into it, here are a few things you can say to make them think you are down with the N-to-the-B-to-the-A.

They were both born at Summa Akron City hospital, 39 months apart.

    Lebron could play any position

He truly could play point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center, and probably be the best at any of them.

I think he plays a version of the old 'point forward', an innovation Phil Jackson used to get the most out of Scotty Pippen.

Either way, if you are in a basketball conversation and you say, "The thing about Lebron is that he could truly excel at any position on the floor," people will think you know what you are talking about.

Lebron and Steph Curry both married women they met when they were young

Lebron married Savannah in 2013, they've been together since they were 16.

Steph married Ayesha, a woman he met in youth group when he was young. She later moved to L.A. and he looked her up when he was in town for basketball camp.

Lebron's post game recovery rituals are crazy

Well, what Lebron does is crazy, so it kind of makes sense. His is one of the most finely tuned bodies on our planet. Not to mention the money it earns.

His post game ritual includes lower body immersion ice baths, compression clothing, special high-protein meals, electro-stimulation, and unique, air filled, Michelin Man looking boots to help the recovery process.

This is just after every game. Lebron, and athletes like him (though there are few) have even more very extreme methods they use to stay in the game.
