3rd Graders Busted Smoking Pot

In "face-palming" news, three 3rd graders in California were busted smoking pot in the bathroom.

Two 8-year-olds and a 9-year old were caught smoking in the bathroom by another student. That student then informed school officials, who then contacted the police. School officials and parents are shocked that the third graders had their own pipe and are calling for further investigation as to where the students got the pot.

I am going to say that I don't think it was "their own pipe". I am going to assume they got, took or stole the pipe from the same place/person that the weed came from. My main question is, how did they learn how to smoke it?
