30-Plane Flyover for Colorado on Thursday
As announced by Governor Polis in his May 11 press conference, there will be a flyover of 30 planes to thank Colorado's essential workers on May 14.
According to The Denver Channel, the flyover is not only a salute to frontline workers, but also an aerial fundraiser for the Help Colorado Now program for COVID-19 relief.
The flyover of military warbirds was organized by Governor Polis, but unfortunately, it won't be visible in our Northern Colorado skies.
The flight path shows the planes passing over Longmont High School during the noon hour, the farthest point north in the flyover. If you live in the Longmont area, you will likely see it, however, residents are asked to stay where they live to view the aerial stunt, as Colorado remains under Safer at Home.
Last week, F-16 'Heroes' flew over NoCo, starting in Greeley, following the USAF Thunderbird flyover in late April, seen all across the Front Range.
