12-Year-Old Fakes Kidnapping to Get Out of Going to the Dentist

I know nobody really likes going to the dentist, especially kids, but this is a bit ridiculous.

A 12-year-old French boy was dreading his upcoming dentist appointment that he went a little too far and faked being kidnapped.

The boy was found by police back in May hiding in a town, He told police that he had just escaped an kidnapping in a nearby town. He said that a man with a scar on his face asked him for directions as he was heading to his dentist appointment when the man grabbed him and took off. The boy provided a description of the man and the car.

A month went by before officers had called him in for questioning again. They had reviewed security footage of the area of the alleged kidnapping and couldn't find any evidence of it happening. The boy then confessed that it was fake and he made it up to get out of the dentist.
