A 60-year-old man was hunting squirrels in a forest in Malaysia when he encountered a tiger.

He tried to climb a tree when the tiger pulled him back down and began attacking him. While he was trying to fight the tiger off his 55-year-old wife heard the commotion and came running with a wooden ladle. She hit the tiger repeatedly in the head with the ladle until it ran away. The man is recovering and stable in the hospital.

I have two questions. One, why did the woman have a wooden ladle? Is the forest right behind their house or is she just walking around with a wooden ladle in the forest? Second, if the man was hunting for squirrels, wouldn't he of had a gun? Or was he using a sling shot or rocks?

What are your theories?
