White water rafting is a thrilling recreational activity, but it can also be highly dangerous. Unfortunately, one woman died after falling out of a raft on the Arkansas River in Colorado this weekend.

Fremont County Sheriff's Sgt. Megan Richards tells Denver7 the unidentified female victim in her 40s passed away on Sunday after falling out of the raft west of Canon City, Colorado. She was with a commercial rafting company when the incident occurred.

Cause of death and additional information surrounding the incident have not yet been released.
