As the old saying goes,"One man's trash is another man's treasure," and in the town of Windsor's case, it is also art. Beginning on January 11, 2017, the Windsor Art and Heritage Center will be featuring an exhibit called "Repurposed: A Second Look, A Second Life," which will include pieces of art created using garbage and other alternative-use or unwanted items. The idea of the exhibit is to demonstrate how creative reuse can change the way one looks at trash, and also how it can be transformed into beautiful works of art rather than just being thrown away.

The Art and Heritage Center is currently seeking submissions for the upcoming exhibit, which will run through February 11, 2017. Interested artists are asked to send their contact information, along with a photograph of their piece, to Caitlin Heusser at cheusser@windsorgov.com, no later than December 21 in order to be considered for the show.
