A man was arrested for his involvement in a number of window-peeping cases on Wednesday in Fort Collins.

Over the last several months, police have received reports from multiple residents of Circle Drive regarding suspicious activity near their property. On several occasions, security cameras even captured the male suspect on video.

On Wednesday, officers from the Fort Collins Police Neighborhood Enforcement Team observed a man entering the victim's yard. After a brief foot chase, police captured the man, who was identified as Steven Christensen, 58.

Christensen was arrested on 1 count of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, 1 count of attempted invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, 4 counts of 2nd degree criminal trespass, and 1 count of resisting arrest.

These charges are merely an accusation by law enforcement officers, and Christensen will be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

If you notice any suspicious activity, contact police. To help deter window peepers, you can close shades at night, trim trees and hedges to minimize cover for potential trespassers, and install motion-sensitive outdoor lighting.
