Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, met with three potential running mates in Washington D.C. last week – one of these candidates being Governor John Hickenlooper of Colorado. Although Governor Hickenlooper has previously deflected interest in the VP position, sources say he and Clinton spent two hours meeting together on Friday afternoon, following a previous conversation between the two during her trip to Denver in late June. Hillz and Hickenlooper have been close friends for years, and he has even hosted multiple fundraisers for the presidential hopeful.

Having plenty of experience in the world of politics, Hickenlooper was first the mayor of Denver, prior to then becoming Colorado's Governor in 2011. He has not commented on the recent meeting that took place, and it seems that Hickenlooper's name is further down on the list when it comes to potential running mates for Clinton.

The other candidates that reportedly made an appearance at Hillary's home this past Friday were Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, while additional possibilities for running mates include Virginia Senator Tim Kaine and Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey. It is still unclear when she will make her final decision.
