Whether you're a hopeless romantic or think Valentine's Day is for the birds, The Lyric is catering to you this year.

On February 14th, the most romantic day of the year, The Lyric is planning on playing the world's quirkiest french romantic comedy: Amelie. If you're not familiar with the movie, it's about a young french woman who tries to commit good deeds for her fellow Paris residents, and in doing so, meets a handsome young man in the process.

For those of you on the other side of the spectrum lies the most cynical (and pretty realistic) of all romantic comedies...500 Days of Summer.

I remember seeing this in the theater when I was a teenager and being like "Wait...romantic movies can end badly sometimes?" Yeah, honey. They can.

If you're unfamiliar with this flick, it's about a young man who idealizes his relationship with the enigmatic Summer, and has to evaluate the relationship more realistically when it eventually ends.

Whichever side you're on, you can grab your tickets on The Lyric's website right here.
