'Twas the week after Christmas and all through the house, you're taking down holiday decorations, and you've gotta get that tree out — here's where you can recycle it.

Thankfully, most cities in Northern Colorado encourage ditching your evergreens the responsible, green way, and recycling is typically offered free of charge. Just remember to remove any ornaments, lights and fake snow beforehand.

Fort Collins:

According to the City of Fort Collins, Christmas tree recycling is FREE until January 21, 2019. You can drop off at Rolland Moore Park, Fossil Creek Park, the City Streets Facility on Vine and Lemay and the Larimer County Landfill. Wellington residents can drop trees off at the Town Garage on 6th and Grant.
