When you set your alarm for the early morning dance with the turkey next week, don't forget about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thanksgiving and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade are next Thursday, November 28th.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the official kick off to the holiday season and is a long standing family tradition for many from LA to Fort Collins, Wichita, Lincoln, Branson, St Louis, Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville, Miami to New York City and beyond. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air Thursday, November 28th from 9 AM to 12 Noon across the country (The Same in All Time Zones). You can catch the parade on NBC. Whether you have Dish, Direct TV or Comcast you'll find NBC on Channel 9 in Northern Colorado (if you have digital HD, check your providers information for the HD channel)

This year we'll be amazed with talent, the floats, the balloons... it only seems to get better and better every year. This year we'll celebrate the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the 87th year, that's right, this parade has been going strong since 1924.(the parade was suspended for two years during World War ll) We'll be entertained by Cirque De Soleil, Florida Georgia Line, Mannheim Steamroller, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, The Robinsons Family from Duck Dynasty, The World Famous New York City Rockettes and tons more. 8000 participants will march through the streets of Manhattan, 3.5 million spectators on site and about 50 million TV viewers.

One of my most anticipated parts of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, in line with the 75th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz, there will be a 47 foot tall giant hot air balloon. It will be embellished with our favorite Wizard of Oz characters and be carrying the Wizard himself. And of course all of our favorite balloons will be front and center, including Snoopy, Buzz Lightyear, SpongeBob SquarePants and many more.
