Creepy clowns, serial killers, and gore galore – yep, Halloween night is the perfect time to pop some popcorn, turn off the lights, and have yourself a good ol' fashioned scare by curling up on the couch and watching a classic horror flick. There's plenty of Halloween movies to choose from, but just which one are Coloradans scared of the most? Decluttr, a website that assists customers in selling unwanted CDs, DVDs, games, and pretty much anything else tech-related, compiled a list of the scary movies that have each state screaming the most. In order to do so, the site determined the top horror films that residents in every state have been selling back the most frequently...which in Decluttr's logic, means they're just too terrified to cling onto it any longer.

On a state-by-state basis, the top Halloween movies that are sold back vary quite a bit, but according to Decluttr's research, the six thrillers that Americans are the most creeped out by overall are: The Conjuring, It, The Ring, The Grudge, The Exorcist, and Friday the 13th. When it comes to Colorado, the movie that has us covering our eyes and apparently freaks us more than the rest, is Hannibal, the jaw-dropping saga about a murdering cannibal, and people in Nevada also seem to think the same. You can check out the rest of the list here, while also getting some ideas of what to watch while celebrating all things spooky this Monday evening.
