There were plenty of things to be offended by when watching the MTV VMA's hosted by Miley Cyrus. But there was one commercial that has many people scratching their heads. The commercial in question is one for the "White Squad, a team of carefully selected white people who help people of color enjoy white advantage." Many people were amazed that MTV allowed this commercial to the air, and figure that it was some sort of prank.

Well, it's not a prank, but it is also not real. Apparently, it's a commercial produced by MTV itself, to be used as a "shock tactic" to raise awareness for MTV's Look Different campaign.

As a partner in a mixed marriage, with mixed race children and many friends and family that are of many races, I'm appalled by the fact that in this day and age that people are still being judged by anything other than the quality of their character.

But, I'm also offended by things like this, and think this commercial was done in poor taste to raise awareness for such an important issue.... I would love to hear what you think?
