Adoption fees for pets will be marked down quite a bit at 25-70 percent off adoption fees for all animals that are at least a year old.

Additionally, if you have a pet now that does not have a microchip, you can get your pet chipped for only $10 with their special that will run through Tuesday. The adoption special is making room for the Fourth of July, the busiest day of the year for most animal shelters. Pets run off as they are spooked by the fireworks. If you have a pet that is scared of the fireworks, the humane society wants you to keep pets indoors and make sure that they have a collar with identification tags on them, so if they do end up running off, they can be returned home.
