Just as fans were preparing their lip syncs for a weeklong U2 residency on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ the iconic band has decided to postpone their trip to the late night stage.

“It looks like we will have to do our ‘Tonight Show’ residency another time,” a message entitled, ‘From Edge, Adam & Larry,’ reads on U2’s official website. “We’re one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it.”

The announcement goes on, “We’re sure he’ll make a full recover soon, so we’ll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding.” It's been a crazy few days for Bono as this accident follows his terrifying flight experience when the jet he was on lost its cargo door.

As of the writing of this story, there has been no announcement made by Fallon or his team. Stay tuned for more details.
