It sounds like the plot of a bad movie -- Weekend at Bernie's, to be specific -- but, two Denver men were sentenced this week for driving around and partying with a dead friend.

The Denver District Attorney's office says that last week, Robert Young (43) and Mark Rubinson (25), pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of abusing the corpse of Jeffrey Jarrett last summer. The two men found Jarrett dead at home and instead of calling the police, they put the dead body in the back seat of Rubinson’s vehicle and went to dinner at Viva Burrito restaurant and gassed-up the car, with dead Jarrett's credit card. Then they brought the dead body back to the house and left it there while they partied at the strip-club, Shotgun Willie's, where they withdrew $400 in cash from dead Jarrett's bank account.
