Whether you're an amateur star gazer, casual spectator or an astronomy enthusiast, Tuesday night is set to be stellar. Jupiter and Venus set the stage and create optical illusions.

Tuesday night it will be like a scene from your favorite romantic movie... two planets will meet up. There will be one named after a Goddess of Love and the other named after the God of Thunder, or better known as Venus and Jupiter.

Jupiter and Venus will come so close to each other that they will appear to the naked eye as a most spectacular star. They will even look to be the same size or nearly the same size. In actuality, the planets are a bit differently sized. Venus is smaller than Earth and Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system.

Although you should see them quite clearly, they will merely look like a star with attitude. Grab a set of binoculars or better yet, a telescope, and you might even get to see Jupiter's four moons.

If you work early mornings and will miss the event, you'll get another chance on the morning of October 26, 2015. Otherwise, you will have to wait till August of 2016.
