Forget partying like it's 1999, with this, you'll be trick-or-treating like it's 1905! It's going on for three hours on Saturday!

The kids have their costumes but Halloween is still so far away.. Wait! How about a 'practice' round of trick-or-treating on October 13?

The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is hosting a trick-or-treating event that day from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Heritage Courtyard in Library Park in Fort Collins as part of their 'Culture in the Courtyard' program. There are three historic cabins there at Library Park. Trick-or-treaters will knock on the door of each and learn about the families that lived in the cabins. As well as getting candy!

The historic 1905 schoolhouse will also be open, where they'll have Fort Collins legends telling stories - True stories or folklore? You and the kids will have to decide!

The event is free, though they are asking for a $3 donation that day for the museum.

This could be a great way to get the kids into their costumes and out of the house!
