The Dalzell Alley has been a popular place for CSU students, hipsters, and even high school students to hang out in-between study sessions. But with the growing homeless problem in Fort Collins, this popular hang out spot is increasingly looking less appealing to most people.

On Monday at around 11 a.m., 3 staff members of the Alley Cat Coffee House had a knife pulled on them following a verbal scuffle about the homeless population, the Coloradoan reports. The employees had been having a meeting outside when a woman approached them and yelled about them not liking homeless people. Her boyfriend, 18-year-old Morgan Hall, removed her from the group, returning moments later and allegedly pulling a 7-inch knife on them.

The employees told investigators that Hall "waved [the knife] at them and said if they spoke to her like that again, he'd slit their throats," all while they feared for their lives.

When police arrived, they disarmed Hall, who was then forcefully taken into custody after he tried to pull away from the responding officers. He was arrested and booked into the Larimer County Detention Center on suspicion of 3 counts of felony menacing and misdemeanor counts of obstruction and carrying a concealed knife. His bond is set at $5,000 and he is due in court next Tuesday.

Hall is listed as "homeless" on jail documents, the Coloradoan said.
