The winter weather arrived with a vengeance last night. Lots thick, wet, heavy snow so far.I woke up to about half of my trees touching the ground and some pretty big branches already snapped off. Not fun. Read more for our latest list of school/road closures.

We're hearing reports of power outages in Windsor, Johnstown, Berthoud, Fort Collins and Loveland. Snow reports we're getting have 10+ inches in Greeley, 6-8 inches in Windsor, and 4-6 inches in Fort Collins with more snow still falling.

The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. tonight with 3-6 more inches of snow in the forecast.

  • Aims Greeley - 1-hour delay (Classes start at 9am)
  • Briggsdale RE-10 - closed
  • College America classes in Fort Collins delayed until 9:30 a.m
  • Eaton Re2 - closed
  • Eaton early learning center - Closed
  • Estes Park School District R-3 – Closed
  • Faith Preschool in Eaton - Closed
  • Greeley-Evans School District 6 - Closed
  • Highland Early Childhood education center (Ault) - closed
  • Johnstown-Milliken RE-5J - Closed
  • Montessori Academy Greeley - CLOSED
  • St. Mary's in Greeley - closed
  • Thompson Valley Schools (Loveland) closed
  • University of Northern Colorado - Closed
  • Weld-Re-9 Ault - Closed
  • Windsor Re-4J - Closed

OTHER CLOSURES:

  • Agilent technologies in Loveland is closed today
  • Fritzler's Corn Maze - closed today
  • Larimer county offices in Estes Park are closed
  • Loveland Community Health Center Closed til noon
  • City of Loveland offices/buildings will open at 10 a.m
  • Poudre and Spring Creek trails are closed due to fallen branches and unsafe conditions.

ROAD CLOSURES:

  • I-80 is closed from Cheyenne to Laramie
  • 287 Closed at Teds Place
  • EB I-70 is closed in Idaho Springs due to multiple accidents.
  • The Oval on the CSU campus is closed to traffic and parking because of downed and falling tree branches.
  • Cherry St CLOSED from College to Howes due to railroad malfunctions. Use Laporte Ave for detour

7News is reporting that over 40,000 people are without power right now. To report an outage to Xcel Energy, call 1-800-895-1999.

Transfort bus routes are all open, but  expect 10-15 minute delays.
