‘Tired of Bronco Bamma and Mitt Romney’ – 4-Year-Old Fort Collins Girl Crying Because Of The Election Campaigns [VIDEO]
October 31, 2012 6:18 PM So…this is what it’s come to. Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama are making little girls cry with their campaigning. Check out this hilarious (and sad) viral video of a 4-year-old girl crying her eyes out because she is tired of of “Bronco Bama and Mitt Romney”.
And, as it turns out, she is from Fort Collins!
You know, I really feel for that little girl. I have been sick of this onslaught of political ads, pollsters, and hate-mongering that has become that status quo for election season.
What kinds of lessons do elections like this teach kids?
- Lying, cheating and stealing is what adults do?
- You should believe anything you see on the Internet?
- Taking things out of context is okay?
- Calling other people names is how to make yourself look better?
- There are only two sides to every issue?
Hey Abigael (the little girl in the video), thank you for being brave enough to cry. (And in the words of your mother, “I will all be over soon.”
I think just about all of us are about at our wit’s end with these campaigns and we all just soldier along because “this is how they are”. But they shouldn’t be.
I think most of adults have forgotten that an election should be about all the great things a leader can do for our country, not a mud-slinging, name-calling, mean-spirited smear campaign.
