When I was younger television was the Beez-neez! It not only had the greatest cartoons but it also had the greatest game shows for kids. Most of the cartoons and game shows came from a channel that used to dominate and that was Nickelodeon. I remember spending time at my grandma's house watching her TV because she had cable and being infatuated with the content on that channel. I have always remembered the great cartoons and often re-watch them on Netflix. The thing I had kind of forgotten was the game shows and how badly I wanted to be on them! Oh I had dreams of winning Huffy bikes and toys for a year from these games shows. I also wanted to be slimed so badly! So, let us take a trip through my childhood as I show you the game shows that I wanted to be on!

  • Wild & Crazy Kids

This show isn't really a game show per-say but it was still something that looked like a lot of fun. Plus, I just learned that one of the hosts, Omar Gooding, is the brother of Cuba Gooding Jr.

  • Nickelodeon Guts

There were different versions of this show, but they were all awesome. I wanted to be on this kid version of American Gladiators so bad and prove my worth by climbing to the top of the Aggro Crag.

  • Legends of The Hidden Temple

I thought I could do so well on this show as long as I could get past the stupid trivia. Back when I was kid I didn't have nearly as many useless facts in my head as I do now. Plus, I always thought I could go through the temple better than any of those kids.

  • Where in the World is Carmen San Diego

This is the only show on this list that isn't a Nickelodeon Show. I always thought I would be good at this show. I knew some of the trivia thanks to the computer game that I played constantly. Plus how could you beat that theme song.

  • Double Dare

This is another game show that had tons of versions. The one I watched the most was Family Double Dare. My cousin and I would always sit in front of the TV and plot which family members we would want to take on the show with us that would help us win. It usually changed to whatever challenge was being shown. That and we didn't really have a lot of faith in our family members to do some of the physical challenges.

  • Figure It Out

This one is kind of an added bonus. I always thought my cheesy stupid talents could stump the judges. That and I had a crush on Amanda Bynes and wanted to meet her!
