The Polar Plunge which was scheduled to take place at the Boulder Reservoir on January 1 has been cancelled.

This frigid and fun New Year’s Day event usually draws in a crowd of around 500 brave souls who are willing to take the plunge into freezing waters. According to The American Cancer Society, there simply wasn't enough time to plan for the Plunge this year, as the organization has just recently taken over the entire event from the Boulder County AIDS Project. The Cancer Society is hoping to bring it back in 2017.
