The Kids Take Center Stage Tonight at the Greeley Stampede
After a great four days to begin the 90th Annual Greeley Stampede, we have still yet to see the main event, if you will, of the Stampede… Rodeo. That changes tonight. But before the professional cowboys from across the country gather for the biggest 4th of July Rodeo in the world, the kids take center stage.
Tonight features the Kids’ Rodeo, with 175 kids from around the region entered. The show begins at 7 in the Stampede Arena. “It’s kind of the dress rehearsal for the big dance,” said Stampede general chairman Ron Wildeman. “It’s the largest in Colorado and one of the largest in the United States. To allow these kids to step into this arena where the professional cowboys compete is a huge thrill for them.”
