If you are sitting there wondering if 'The Heat' starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy is funny? It is. The humor is pretty much non-stop, but for me it was lacking a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the movie quite a bit, but something was off about the plot. To me it felt as if the plot was written after they had the jokes set up. It was a loose plot that just didn't seem to have depth. I get that it's a comedy but, to me the story was just kind of there.

The thing that really stuck out in this movie was the energy and interactions with Sandra and Melissa. Hilarious! That is one reason to see the movie. Granted Melissa's character in this film felt very familiar to her character in 'Identity Thief', but that is her style and it worked. Though, I would like to see her branch out a bit and do a different role. As for Sandra, I think she did a great job playing the uppity do-gooder.

Over all it was a pretty good comedy, though it did have a lot of foul language, so if that isn't your thing you might want to stay away.

The whole theater seemed to enjoy it, my fiance gives it 4 out of 5 and I give it 3 out of 5 pairs of spanx.
