The latest Dreamworks animated film takes us way, way back to the dawn of man with 'The Croods,' the tale of a family of cave-dwellers who have to explore prehistoric lands for a new home. We've got the 'Croods' trailer for the new film, and yes, it will be in 3D.

'The Croods' stars the voice talents of Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage (because why not!), Ryan Reynolds, Clark Duke, Cloris Leachman, and Catherine Keener, and if that wasn't enough to get you pumped, this trailer should do the trick.

The movie follows a cave-dwelling family in prehistoric times, run by a father who forbids them from ever leaving their home to explore or discover new things because new things make you die -- no, really, he says this to them, and it's kind of awesome. But one day, his curious daughter (Stone) leaves the cave, prompting a catastrophic event that destroys their home, but opens them up to a whole new world of bright colors and strange creatures and flowers and trees and things. With the help of nomad, the family embarks on a journey to find a new home.

The film hits theaters March 22, 2013, but you can familiarize yourself with the animated world of the cave-people with 'The Croods' trailer right now:
