The Colorado Ice Take on the 3-Time Defending Champs to Kick Off Their Season Tonight

Football is back! No, it may not be Peyton and the Broncos, but if you live in Colorado it is the next best thing! Northern Colorado's own professional football team, the Colorado Ice kick off their 2014 regular season campaign tonight against the three-time defending IFL Champion Sioux Falls Storm at the Budweiser Events Center. 

If you haven't been to an Ice game before, I have to tell you that this isn't just a bunch of local dudes thrown together to make a team, these guys are pros! Nearly all of them have major college experience, and a good majority also have NFL experience. In other words, these guys are big, fast, and good at football!

That was the Ice I was talking about, but the team they are hosting tonight are no slouches themselves and will prove to be a tough test to start the year for the Ice. The Storm have already made it past their first game jitters, defeating the Nebraska Danger 52-35 at home last week as the Ice had a bye to start the season.

Last season the Ice and Storm split the season series with both teams winning at home. We will hope that trend continues into tonight. Game time is set for 7pm at the Budweiser Events Center. Tickets and details here.
