The 15th Annual First National Bank Taste Of Fort Collins kicks off this Saturday at 11 am at Civic Center Park in Old Town Fort Collins. Great food, awesome things to see and do and of course live music. I love the fact that this event features tons of local acts.

One of the those local acts to take the stage hails from Greeley and their name is Trichome. Trichome is a Jam-Reggae band and I enjoyed this quote from Lead Guitarist, Matt Newhard taken from an article from UNC, “We were bad at covers, it’s easier to play our own music.” You can see Trichome up on the stage this Saturday at 12:15.

Trichome takes rhythms from world and reggae music and blends them with aspects of rock, funk, and dance to create a unique sound with a smooth melodic flow. Couple that sound with tailoring unique set-lists and song transitions with each outstanding live show, the energy this band exudes is a force to be reckoned with. [Trichome Facebook]

Matt Newhard - Lead Guitar
