Get out the beads and the wigs and mount your festive bicycle!!! Tour de Fat is this Saturday, August 31st at Civic Center Park in downtown Fort Collins. The parade launches at 10am, the celebration goes on from 11am-4pm.

New Belgium Brewery's annual Tour De Fat is one of the biggest and best beer festivals in the country. Every years thousands of people grab their bikes, get dressed up, and meet for a parade of epic proportions in Fort Collins, followed by food music and performers. A Fort Collins tradition has made another top 10 list. New Belgium Brewing’s “Tour de Fat” made OutsideOnline.com’s Top 10 Best North American Beer Festivals list. The annual series of bikes on parade brings 20,000 cyclists to Fort Collins where the beer flows and the costumes are encouraged.
As many as 15,000 costumed bike riders filled the streets of Fort Collins on Saturday for a record-breaking 12th Annual Tour De Fat. According to reports from the Coloradoan, this was the largest turnout ever for the event which has 13 stops across the country including Denver and Chicago. It's good to have "The Mothership" here in Fort Collins!
