Growing up in Greeley meant that the end of June and beginning of July was time for fun. The Greeley Stampede was a tradition for my family and I, and like many one of my favorite events growing up was the demolition derby. My uncle, Donny Steinmetz, always drove the K99 car and watching as a little kid I knew someday I too wanted to drive in the derby. My dream came true a few times.
If you listen to my show or read any of my blogs here on the website you most likely know a little about my little girl, Shai. I have said numerous times how much i love her, how much she has changed my life, and what she means to me, so I wont repeat myself. Instead I will celebrate her birthday in song.
By now you have probably heard me talk about my "little" fundraiser raising funds to defeat childhood cancer in memory of Delaney Wadsworth, the three-year-old from Windsor who lost her battle to brain cancer. Lures 4 Laney has taken off, and I am so humbled by everyone who has stepped up and is helping out. Ron Worley who owns Max Muscle of Loveland and Fort Collins is the latest to lend his hand to the cause!
