Old Town Fort Collins

Downtown Fort Collins is gearing up for a very busy summer. The Downtown Fort Collins Business Association has a ton of events planned. Most are free!

Most areas of Fort Collins are charming and bustling. But a few spots are in need of some upgrades. I always felt like the River District was one of the latter. I've just never been super-thrilled to spend much time in that part of town, despite how much I love Fort Collins. So personally, I'm glad to see some upgrading going on in that area.

A new ice cream shop could be coming to Old Town Fort Collins. Denver-based Little Man Ice Cream, which is known for its store's ice cream can-shaped building would be on the south side of the Fort Collins Museum of Art at 201 South College.

FORToberfest will bring bicycles, beers and bands to Downtown Fort Collins September 20th & 21st. A professional bike stunt show will be presenting shows all afternoon starting at 12:00pm, six local breweries will be bringing their seasonal brews, and the band lineup is filled with diversity of genres with a focus on Fort Collins bands. Everyone is encouraged to come in costume and ride your bike Downtown!

One thing I always hated was figuring out a safe place to park and get home after late night in Old Town Fort Collins. However, a new 'Green & Gold' service offered by Transfort and parking services may save some people a lot of hassle after late nights in Old Town.

I'm not a huge chess player, but that doesn't mean a giant chess board in Old Town doesn't sound like fun to me!

Big news about Old Town Fort Collins has surfaced. The area that will soon be vacated by Beau Jo's Pizza on Mountain and College has a new tenant! A restaurant called The Kitchen, a "farm-to-table eatery that uses locally sourced food" will be moving in.

This summer your Thursday nights just got more interesting in Fort Collins. The 2013 Bohemian Nights Presents Thursday Night Live Concert Series lineup has been announced! The free shows will happen on Old Town Square Stage from 7-9PM almost every Thursday night. Read on to see who is playing when.

If you've walked around Old Town (or various other parts of) Fort Collins, you've probably seen some of the decoratively painted pianos. Those are all part of a project called Pianos About Town and it is continuing for 2013. Starting today, a different piano will be painted about every two weeks in Old Town to go on display for people to use and enjoy around town.
