Yesterday I was never really in to hockey when I was young, but then the Colorado Avalanche moved to Denver and Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Patrick Roy, and others all became household names. (After we all learned how to properly pronounce Roy's last name, of course.)
And now Patrick Roy is back with Colorado as their new head couch and vice president of hockey operations.
December 6, 2011 I think that this is a fantastic idea and maybe the Eagles hockey team should start something like this! This is video of a Calgary Hitmen hockey game and after the game the teddy bear toss begins! The teddy bear toss is wear the fans sitting in the seats toss out stuffed animals for children at local hospitals for the holiday season. They managed to collect an amazing 25,000 stuffed animals! It truly is the season for giving!
June 1, 2011 The Colorado Eagles are no longer a part of the Central Hockey League (CHL). But don't be alarmed, it should be a good thing for the Eagles.
The team is coming off a heart-breaking game 7 loss in the CHL President's Cup Finals. They have played in the finals 5 out of the 8 years of their existence, and now they are moving on to bigger and better things.
Monday the team announced their acceptance into the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
May 12, 2011 The Colorado Eagles beat the defending Central Hockey League (CHL) champion Rapid City Rush last night by a score of 1-0. The Eagles now advance to the Presidents' Cup Finals where they will have home-ice advantage over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in a best-of-seven series. The winner will take home the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup.
Game 1 starts tomorrow night at the Budweiser Events Center and tickets go on sale later this morning at 10am.
