Halloween costumes

If your Halloween costume isn't coming along exactly the way you planned, don't feel bad -- at least you aren't any of these horrible Halloween fails.

Carter has spina bifida, a birth defect which affects the spinal canal. Because of his condition, the youngster uses a wheelchair. Being stuck in a chair is obviously going to be tough on a kid. However, last Halloween Carter's dad used his son's wheels to their advantage in crafting a pretty awesome costume.

The folks at ‘Today’ offered up a gallery of spectacularly bad Halloween photos culled from the Awkward Family Photos website. There’s nothing wrong with homemade Halloween costumes per se, but these are simply unforgivable (and unintentionally scary).
