There is a diner in Las Vegas with a sign in the window that reads "Caution: This establishment is bad for your health." Despite this warning before you even walk in the door (as well as an ambulance permanently parked outside), the diner is often full, and keeps people coming back for more, even if it means having to be rushed to the hospital halfway through your meal.
I don't put much thought into what makes my food the color that it is. While it is important that food be aesthetically pleasing, I'm generally more concerned with taste and texture. So I never gave much thought to what makes Starbucks red velvet cake so darn red, or that it might not be strawberries that give the strawberries and cream frappuccino its signature pink hue.
When I first came across this story, I thought I was reading a synopsis for the next Paranormal Activity movie. But no, apparently not! This is a legit news story. Well, I suppose that depends on what your definition of "legit" is; but all the same, it's definitely worth sharing!
When I proposed to my fiance, I wanted it to be at least somewhat private and meaningful. I chose one of our favorite restaurants in one of our favorite cities as the setting to pop the question. I waited for all the tables around us to clear. And, most importantly, I turned off my smartphone. The last thing I wanted was this once-in-a-lifetime moment to be interrupted by texts and email notifications. The guy in this story, though, proposed to his lady in a way that was decidedly opposite from mine; he was updating his Twitter the whole time.

Couples can have issues. Most of the time, these issues can be worked out; and the couple is stronger for having been through them together. I'm engaged, and I know my relationship would not be nearly as strong as it is without the occasional bump in the road. I feel like a relationship shouldn't continue if certain things happen, though...like life-threatening physical violence.
