If advertisers are paying attention to viewers like me, they'll include an animal in their commercial. I actually pay attention if there is an animal. I just do. This commercial has a kind message and is full of dogs of all shapes and sizes causing dog lovers everywhere to say "that looks just like my dog".

Advertisers always want to make sure you hear their message. And the knee-jerk reaction companies had to make that happen on TV was, “Let’s make our commercials louder than anything they’re watching!”
Well, you can rejoice because the FCC passed a new rule yesterday that will require TV stations to monitor and regulate the volume level of everything they air.

“Indoor tanning is out,” says the Canadian Dermatology Association, who’ve placed tanning beds squarely in their crosshairs with a new web PSA that shows young women singing their skin with a clothes iron, toaster and waffle iron. Ouch. The CDA hopes these exaggerated examples of frying one’s skin hammers home the dangers of tanning. According to their website:

The National Eating Disorders Association has applauded the yogurt-maker for its decision to pull one of its commercials, out of claims that it depicts unrealistic images and expectations of being skinny.
