Welp, if you're going to tell the story of a young Norman Bates growing up to become the 'Psycho' we all know and love, it wouldn't make a terrible amount of sense to quit after the second season. A&E officially renewed Vera Farmiga's Norma and Freddie Highmore's Norman for 'Bates Motel' season 3, set to open up for business in 2015.

'The Walking Dead''s post-airing talk show, 'Talking Dead,' changed the landscape for event TV, as 'Breaking Bad,' 'Sons of Anarchy' and even Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' dabbled in their own post-shows. For as much as we know of Norman Bates' ultimate 'Psycho' destiny, that hasn't stopped A&E's surprisingly compelling 'Bates Motel' from conjuring up a bit of mystery around the character's burgeoning psychosis. We know the first season finale left one character in a pool of blood, but does a new creepy home video teaser reveal the culprit?

It's been fairly quiet on the front of A&E's moody prequel thriller 'Bates Motel,' leaving Norman and Norma Bates to patiently await their grand reopening, but now A&E has urgently-needed good news for 2014. The 'Bates Motel' will open for season 2 business in March 2014!

Well, so much for that. Following A&E's controversial move to "ban" 'Duck Dynasty' patriarch Phil Robertson from future filming after his comments on homosexuality in a recent GQ interview, and the resulting media circus, the cable network has officially reneged on its decision to bar the reality star from the highly-rated series.

The ever-increasing popularity of A&E reality series 'Duck Dynasty' continues to mount as a fourth season prepares for debut on January 15, but future seasons may be in store for a major change. Family patriarch Phil Robertson has been placed on an "indefinite hiatus" from filming after Robertson made comments in a GQ interview denigrating homosexuality as a sin, and comparing it with the likes of bestiality.

For as much as we enjoyed the first season of A&E's 'Psycho' prequel series 'Bates Motel,' it seems criminal we should wait until 2014 for our next stay at the iconic getaway.
