What could be better than an 80s party? An 80s glow party!

Children of the '80s and '90s pretty much learned everything they need to know from TV. (It was basically like a third parent.) Besides "very special" sitcom episodes, one of the major ways we learned about how to say no to drugs and avoid "stranger danger" was from public service announcements.

When one thinks of ‘Say Anything...,’ John Cusak, holding a boom box above his head and serenading Ione Skye with the Peter Gabriel song ’In Your Eyes' likely comes to mind. But beyond that iconic scene, Cameron Crowe’s directorial debut is perhaps one of the most well-crafted and nuanced teen romantic comedies of all time.

It was thirty years ago today that millions flocked to the movie theater to see the latest, greatest film from Steven Spielberg, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It quickly became a blockbuster, surpassing Star Wars to become the highest-grossing film of all time, a record it held for ten years. This needs to happen here in the states! Better yet, here in Northern Colorado.  A little shop in Copenhagen has blended together the greatness of 80's and 90's toys and video games with the necessity that almost everyone needs, a hair cut.  What makes this even cooler is you can buy, sell or trade your retro toys and games for different ones and if you don't have money for the haircut you can pay

Cabbage Patch Kids will be invading your house once again sometime soon. According to PopWatch the dolls that sparked fist fights and consumer mobs in the 80’s are getting a brand-spankin’ new TV special. But I doubt there will be near as much fanfare and department store stampedes as there was in the 80's.

80's pop sensation Cyndi Lauper saved the day in a Buenos Aires Airport over the weekend. Lauper was one of the many passengers left stranded at the airport after a rash of delays and cancellations. What did she do to quell the angry crowds?
