Steamboat Condo Robbed of Christmas Tree. Because Yes, It Was Already Up.

A 23-year-old guy broke into a condo in Steamboat Springs last Saturday and stole a bunch of stuff, including towels, toilet paper, books, a DVD… and a Christmas tree.  Yes, it was September 16th, and the people he robbed already had their Christmas tree out.

He didn’t get away with this for long.  His roommates called the Routt County Sheriff and snitched on him, saying he was really drunk and thought this would be a fun idea. He was arrested on Tuesday for felony burglary and theft.

I hate to side against the victim of a crime, but if you ALREADY have your Christmas decorations up, I just can’t have your back.  Let’s just hope that he doesn’t break into this house again next month to steal their Fourth of July decorations.
