Plane PullSome of our Larimer County Sheriff's Office members are doing a little charity work tomorrow and it involves pulling a plane! They're team name is the Larimer County Crushers and they need some monetary support if their gonna win this thing.

What the heck is a Plane Pull?

The inaugural Special Olympics Colorado Plane Pull® is a giant tug-of-war between a team of up to 25 people and a 164,000-pound Boeing 757. This year’s Plane Pull will take place at Signature Flight Support at Denver International Airport, one of the world’s largest airports.

Teams challenge each other to pull a jumbo jet 12 feet across the tarmac in the least amount of time! Teams must raise a minimum of $1,250 to participate and all proceeds help Special Olympics Colorado provide year-round training and athletic competition to more than 13,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state of Colorado.

Basically, teams up 25 people have to pull a jet across the tarmac. Should be exciting stuff.

The event will be at Denver International Airport tomorrow (August 10th, 2013). Gates open at 9AM and the competition begins at 11AM.

It's all for a good cause, so I guess everyone comes out a winner, but I'd love to see a team from Larimer County come out on top. Click here to support the Larimer County Crushers, or any of the other teams you want to support. But they do need any donations by 5PM today.

Just think, all of the participants will be able to cross "try pulling a jet" off of their life to-do lists.
