Kama
Hello to all that partake in this biographical journey! My name is Kama. I am a wife and a mom as well as the midday voice on 99.9 The Point in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. My parents were some crazy hippies back in the day. I grew up in the Durango area (Bayfield) without electricity, a telephone, or cable, and I was home-schooled until 5th grade. But I always had radio. My dad was a local DJ and use to dedicate songs to his favorite daughter… There stemmed my love for the job. I’ve lived in Northern Colorado for 9 years and I love it here. I am a music fanatic, I love how music feels and what it does to my soul. My favorite artists include, but are not limited to Michael Franti, Bill Withers, Bob Schneider, Brandi Carlile, Incubus, Lyrics Born, My Morning Jacket, Goldfrapp, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Modest Mouse, Sam Cooke, Muse, Collective Soul, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Your Vegas, Tegan & Sara and anything with a great drum beat, real sound and energy.. My favorite possessions are my bike and my headlamp.
I love mint, black licorice, coffee, travel shows, dirt roads, camping, road trips, 5 Barrel beer (Odells), red wine, yellow tulips, my cat Hobbs, my dog Bella, my husband Anthony, my baby girl Tula Rose, singing loudly in the sunshine, painting stuff, cooking, dancing, garlic, the color red, accessories and music!!! I like finding out how people become who they are, being outdoors and slowing life down.

“What People Think I Do / What I Really Do”- Memes All Over Facebook (PICS)

Amazing Violinists That Rock [VIDEOS]
The question was posed on The Point's Facebook page asking which instrument you wish you could play. A majority of you said the violin. That is also my wish. I think it's because we have now seen the many different emotions of the violin. It used to be thought of as a slow weepy instrument and sound, but now it can rock, or it can be used to add to emotion to great rock songs. You could spend forever on YouTube checking out all the fantastic violinist. I picked a few of my favorites. Please comment below and let me know your favorites.
Motherhood Without Warning- Things You SHOULD Teach Your Kids
Things You SHOULD Teach Your Kids
I've tried really hard to thoughtfully raise my daughter and I hope to do the same with the twins boys we are expecting. By thoughtfully, I mean, choose lessons and set examples that will help her be above average in her thinking and life skills
