A second arrest has been made in the October rifle theft in Fort Collins. A 27-year-old Denver man has been charged in the case.

The Coloradoan is reporting that a second arrest has been made in the rifle theft case  from October. Wednesday, Fort Collins police services arrested 27-year-old Wesley Aaron Sartin of Denver. He has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing and theft, both felony charges.

Earlier police had arrested 27-year-old Carlos J. Chavez of Denver after finding his debit card in the drivers seat of one of the police cars. He, like Sartin, is charged with breaking into two marked patrol cars and stealing department-issued rifles in Northeast Fort Collins.

The weapons, ammo and other things things that had been missing have been found.
