School Wants Deaf Boy to Change His Name- Say “What!?”

This is probably going to be one of the stupidest stories that you may read today. Meet preschooler Hunter Spanjer. He is 3-years-old, deaf and according to his parents, the school asked them to change his name because when he signs his name it looks like "weapons".Ridiculous right? Apparently the school in Nebraska has a policy that prevents students from bringing “any instrument…that looks like a weapon” to school, and now hands can be considered “instruments.” He signs his name by crossing his middle and index fingers and leaving his thumbs up and then wagging his hands.

The school says that this is a misunderstanding, but they still want him to change his name. They are saying that this has nothing to do with weapons they just think that the gesture is not appropriate to do in school.
