Remember that guy who owned a Denver motel so he could spy on people doin' it through the vents? Pretty soon you'll be able to watch it, too. ...A movie about it, you perv.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'The Voyeur's Motel,' set to be directed by '007's Sam Mendes, and produced by Steven Spielberg, will follow the decades-long story of 'Gerald Foos, who bought a motel in order to watch his guests having sex. He wound up witnessing a murder.'

That motel was (at one time) the Manor House Motel on Colfax in Aurora.

Oh, boy. The story came to light earlier this month, when The New Yorker's Gay Talese composed the story of Foos in American Chronicles' 'The Voyeur's Motel.' The journalist revealed he's been in contact with the Colorado motel owner for over three decades. ...ew.

DreamWorks was like, 'I see you, Bate's Motel fanatics, and I raise you this.' It could actually be a pretty interesting (and messed up) flick for your Friday night. At least Mendes and Spielberg got dibs on it before the Lifetime Movie Network, so this could actually be pretty well done, I guess.
