Poudre Fire Authority in Fort Collins is holding a special ceremony to welcome a beam taken from the World Trade Center in New York City after 9/11.

The ceremony will be held at Fire Station 4 at 1945 West Drake in Fort Collins on Saturday (Oct. 24) at 5 pm.

Light refreshments will be served. Parking will be the Fort Collins Bible Church at 2550 South Taft Hill Road.

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund and State of New York’s Port Authority have donated this momentous artifact to the Poudre Fire Authority.

Poudre Fire Authority was granted the privilege of owning one of the last pieces of a World Trade Center beam to be given to a community. The beam was transferred to Poudre Fire Authority firefighters during a ceremony with representatives from the Fire Department of New York, including Rescue 4; the Terry Fund and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey on Wednesday, October 21at JFK Airport in New York.
