Pictures From Rocky Mountain Con 2013 [PHOTOS]

I spent most of my weekend in Aurora for the first ever Rocky Mountain Con (A comic, gaming, anime, toy and sci-fi convention). If you know me at all, you know I'm into just about all that is geek andI probably dress up more than than I should. I just have a lot of fun at these type of things and I thought I'd share a few of the photos I took.

One of the highlights of my weekend was getting to meet a few of my favorite cosplayers. Nicole Marie Jean, Destiny Nickelsen, Erin Card, Ivy Doomkitty and Elizabeth Wither were all on hand as well as big names from comics and artists and even wrestling great Big Van Vader.

We brought along the little one who was a big hit as lil' miss Captain America (We even made the Westword Photo Galley from the event), but she had a long weekend and her insatiable need for a nap forced us to go home early on Sunday and miss the big costume contest. I would have loved to see the rest of the costumes on display.

On the plus side, the whole event was for a charitable cause, so I didn't walk away feeling slighted.

RMC is a Comic, Gaming, Anime, Toy and Sci-Fi convention started by fans in the Denver/Aurora Colorado area to help the victims of the Aurora Theater shooting. We are glad to be working with AuroraRise.org to donate a portion of the proceeds and have them go to the people that need it.
