Pet Goldfish Has Surgery to Remove a Tumor… Expected to Live 20 More Year

Would you go to the lengths of this pet owner? The owner of "George" the goldfish wanted to save their 10 year old pet when it was diagnosed with a tumor. George underwent a 45 minute operation at Lort Smith Animal Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Reported by Buzzfeed, Georges owner was attached to the fish and didn't want to put it down when it was diagnosed with the life threatening tumor. He was given a bowl of water laced with anesthetic to prep him for surgery... after the surgery the hospital gave an update on their Facebook page that George is doing "Swimmingly."
