Senior dogs are spotlighted this month for adoption for Weld County's November Senior Pet Month.

An older dog can be the perfect fit for a family or an individual that wants a dog but doesn't necessarily have time for a puppy. Senior dogs are still active but are most likely past that hyper puppy stage. They won't chew on anything and you won't have to work at potty training them. They are perfect for those that have that void in their life that can only be filled with a dog.

November's the perfect time to look for a loving companion in need of a home with Weld County Humane Society's Senior Pet Month These dogs are just as cute as ever and are ready to come home and love you unconditionally. Don't be fooled into thinking that they are just too old to be the kind of dog you'really looking for either. Being in a Shelter is extremely stressful for a dog. Once they are in a comfortable, loving, stress free home, they will seem like a different dog that's aged 5 years younger.

Please consider an older dog when thinking about adopting. Always adopt a shelter dog. And if it's not the right time for a pet, Weld County Humane Society is always taking food and supply donations and are in need currently for puppy supplies.
